Brazil began their World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Morocco after coming from behind following an early setback. Vinicius Junior scored the equaliser as the five-time world champions rescued a point.
Morocco started brightly and put Brazil under pressure with an aggressive high press during the opening 10 minutes.
Brazil gradually settled into the game and created a promising chance through a quick counterattack. Igor Thiago found himself in a good position after receiving a pass from a teammate but failed to find the back of the net.
Morocco took the lead in the 21st minute. Forward Ismael Saibari latched onto a through ball and calmly chipped it over Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker to make it 1-0.
Brazil responded in the 32nd minute through Vinicius Junior. The winger cut inside from the left, beat a defender, and fired a superb shot into the net to level the score at 1-1 before halftime.
The second half saw end-to-end action, with Brazil creating several opportunities to take the lead. However, the Seleção were unable to convert their chances, while Morocco also failed to find a winner.
With neither side able to score again, the match ended 1-1, as Brazil and Morocco shared the points in their World Cup opener.
