Brazil will take on Morocco in the early hours today in their opening match of the Hexa mission. The Seleção will be without star striker Neymar Jr., who is sidelined due to injury, raising significant curiosity among fans about who will replace him.

It was already widely expected that Neymar would miss this match. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti officially confirmed the news at a press conference yesterday (June 12). However, he has not yet revealed who will take Neymar’s place in the starting lineup.

According to Brazilian media reports, Lucas Paquetá has impressed in training and is almost certain to feature in the starting XI. Rather than being used as a direct replacement for Neymar, he is expected to play in a more advanced midfield role alongside Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães. As a result, Brazil may line up in either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-2-2-2 formation.

In attack, Vinícius Júnior is expected to operate on the left flank, Raphinha on the right, and Matheus Cunha could start as the central striker.

In defence, Danilo is likely to step in due to Wesley’s injury, with Alex Sandro at left-back. The centre-back pairing is expected to be Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhães.

Brazil’s probable starting XI:
Alisson; Alex Sandro, Gabriel, Marquinhos, Danilo; Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães, Paquetá; Vinícius, Raphinha, Cunha.
