Former minister Asaduzzaman Noor was attacked by students injured in the July-August movement when he was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for treatment.

The incident happened after Noor, who was in jail, was brought to the hospital for medical care around noon, according to witnesses.

One of the injured students, Bulbul Ahmed, claimed that after the attack, the students involved were taken to the office of the director, Brigadier General Rezaur Rahman.

Bulbul also alleged that the director confiscated the students‍‍` mobile phones. Attempts to contact the director for a comment were unsuccessful.
