Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the Amir (Leader) of Jamaat-e-Islami, strongly stated that no conspiracy would succeed as long as Islamic parties remain united.
He emphasized that unity is the key to preventing any force from undermining their cause.
He made these remarks on Saturday, December 28, during his speech at the 12th General Assembly of the Khelafat Majlis at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.
Speaking at the gathering, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "The future of Bangladesh will follow the dreams of the young people who fought in the Liberation War of `24. In this new Bangladesh, all political parties that oppose fascism will unite."
The event was attended by various political leaders and activists, including representatives from BNP, Jamaat, AB Party, and the Islamic Movement.
By 9 AM on Saturday, several thousand people from across the country had gathered for the assembly.
The session began with opening remarks by Maulana Mohammad Ishak, former Amir and Advisor of Khelafat Majlis.
The assembly was chaired by Maulana Abdul Bhashit Azad, the respected Amir of Khelafat Majlis.
