Officer-in-Charge found dead inside Police station

The body of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) has been discovered inside the Jajira police station complex in Shariatpur. 

The body of Al Amin, the OC, was found on Thursday (January 9) around 1 PM within the station premises. 

Superintendent of Police, Nazrul Islam, has confirmed this information.

Reports indicate that OC Al Amin’s body was found hanging with a towel wrapped around his neck. 

Initial investigations suggest that the police officer may have committed suicide.

Since the incident, no one, including media personnel, has been allowed to enter the police station.
