Police have launched a swift crackdown following incidents of violence, vandalism, and attacks on law enforcement during Pro-Gaza demonstrations across several cities in Bangladesh on Monday.
According to police sources, at least 49 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence. Two cases have already been filed, while preparations are underway to file more cases against those involved in the attacks and acts of vandalism.
Law enforcement agencies carried out overnight raids to detain suspects linked to the unrest. Police officials said they are also scrutinizing video footage from the protests to identify additional perpetrators.

“The drive will continue until all those responsible for the violence are brought to justice,” said a senior police officer, adding that steps are being taken to ensure peace and security in the affected areas.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with the investigation and provide any information that may help identify those involved.
Monday’s protests, organized in support of Gaza, took a violent turn in several parts of the country, with incidents of arson, vandalism, and clashes reported, sparking strong condemnation from law enforcement and government officials.
Police have termed the violence a serious threat to public safety and the rule of law, vowing stern action against the perpetrators.
