It has been drizzling since morning in Dhaka at the beginning of the Friday, the sun was not visible because of the clouds.
Amidst the ongoing heat wave, this rain is bringing some relief to commuter`s life.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, it will rain in several parts of the country including Dhaka today.
It has also been reported that there may be a storm in the afternoon, said Met department.
Earlier on Friday, it was predicted that there will be stormy rain in different parts of the country including Dhaka on Saturday. According to their message, some reflection of the condition were seen in the sky of Dhaka in the morning.
Soon after 8am in the morning, there were reports of drizzle in Bangla Motor, Shahbagh, Karwan Bazar, Farmgate, Dhanmondi areas of the capital.
Although government offices and courts are closed on weekends, laborers and private employees were not seen to be in much trouble due to this morning drizzle. Those who went out to work were slightly drenched, but most expressed relief.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast given for the internal river ports of the country from 5 am to 1 pm has said that there is a possibility of storm speed of 45-80 km over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and Tangail, Dhaka, Barisal, Cumilla regions.
The river ports in these areas have been asked to show naval warning signals.
Meanwhile, in the weather report given on Friday evening, the Meteorological Department has recorded the country`s maximum rainfall of 10mm in 24 hours till 6 pm in Sylhet. Apart from this, 3mm of rain was recorded in Rajshahi, 2 mm in Badalgachi upazila of Naogaon and Panchagarh`s Tentulia, and 1mm in Bogra. At the same time Rangpur also watched a little rain.
