Rainfall has been reported in several regions of the country, including the capital, leading to a drop in temperatures. According to the Meteorological Department, further rainfall is anticipated in different parts of the country on Thursday.
However, meteorologists caution that temperatures may rise again starting Friday, with the likelihood of increased rainfall next week.
The prevailing seasonal low pressure over the South Bay of Bengal, coupled with a Western Low Pressure system over West Bengal and nearby Indian regions, is cited as the cause behind the ongoing rainfall, as per meteorological analysis.
The Meteorological Department reiterates the possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country on Thursday. According to their forecast, stormy winds and thundershowers are expected in certain areas of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, as well as a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions.
Moreover, a slight increase in daytime temperatures and a decrease in nighttime temperatures are anticipated across the country.
