The Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam has reported that a cyber attack targeted the official Facebook page broadcasting the ongoing trial at the International Crimes Tribunal, where Sheikh Hasina and two others are facing charges of crimes against humanity. The attack occurred during the live presentation of legal arguments.
Tajul Islam stated on Sunday afternoon that the page was quickly restored following the cyber incident.
The case pertains to alleged crimes committed between July and August 2024. The prosecution, led by Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam, began presenting its arguments in the morning. Subsequently, state-appointed lawyers representing Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will present their defense, after which the prosecution will offer rebuttals.
According to tribunal sources, the presentation of arguments is expected to continue over the next several working days, after which the case will proceed to the judgment stage.
