NCP announces nationwide programs demanding July declaration and justice

The National Citizens‍‍` Party (NCP) has announced a nationwide program for Thursday, urging its district and sub-district committees to organize demonstrations demanding the recognition of the July Declaration, the July Charter, and justice for the July mass killings.

The NCP leadership, including Convener Md. Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, has directed the newly formed district and sub-district coordination committees to hold their first executive meetings at their respective offices before participating in the planned demonstrations.

The instructions were officially communicated in a statement issued late Tuesday night by NCP‍‍`s Joint Member Secretary (Office), Saleh Uddin.

According to the party‍‍`s guidelines, the district and sub-district committees are expected to conduct their executive meetings in the morning, followed by rallies and protest programs highlighting their key demands.

An NCP leader confirmed that the deadline for new party registrations with the Election Commission is June 22. In preparation, the NCP has already established the required number of district and sub-district committees and is in the process of securing official party offices.

Although the party has successfully formed organizational structures in 33 districts and 126 sub-districts so far, it has not yet held any major public activities.

The leadership has now emphasized the importance of activating these local committees through executive meetings and immediate public mobilization ahead of their registration application.

The upcoming programs are expected to include rallies and protest marches across the country, aiming to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and demonstrate its organizational capacity as part of the registration process.

Future plans include forming convening committees through these newly established coordination units to further expand the party’s national structure.
