US Chargé d’Affaires visits ongoing Bangladesh–US joint air force exercise

US Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Tracey Ann Jacobson visited Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram on Tuesday to observe “Operation Pacific Angel 25-3,” a seven-day joint exercise between the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Forces.

During her visit, Jacobson toured various Subject Matter Expertise Exchange (SMEE) sites and closely observed activities focused on Search & Rescue operations, maritime and flood response, and Crew Resource Management. She also interacted with members of both air forces.

Senior officials from the US Embassy, Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, and the US Pacific Air Forces were present at the visit.

The exercise features participation from a Bangladesh Air Force C-130J transport aircraft, an MI-17 helicopter, and two US Pacific Air Forces C-130J transport aircraft.

A total of 150 Bangladesh Air Force personnel and 92 US Pacific Air Forces personnel are taking part in the exercise, which will continue until 18 September 2025.
