The weather across Bangladesh is expected to turn more active over the next day, with rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds likely in many regions, according to the latest forecast from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
In its 24-hour outlook starting from 9:00 am, the Met Office said showers accompanied by lightning and temporary strong winds may hit several divisions, bringing mixed conditions across the country.
Mymensingh and Sylhet are likely to see rain or thunderstorms in many areas. At the same time, scattered showers are expected in parts of Rangpur, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram. A few locations in Rajshahi and Khulna may also experience rainfall activity.
Officials warned that some places could receive moderately heavy to heavy rainfall during this period, increasing the chances of local waterlogging and short-term disruption.
Alongside the rain activity, temperatures may edge slightly upward both during the day and night, keeping the overall weather warm and humid.
A mild heatwave continues to affect Rajshahi, Pabna, Nilphamari, Chuadanga and Khulna, and there is a possibility that it may extend further in the coming days.
On Monday, the highest temperature was recorded at 37.2°C in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature today stood at 22.5°C in Sylhet.
For the capital, sunset is expected at 6:45 pm today, with sunrise scheduled at 5:10 am tomorrow, marking another warm and humid day ahead for Dhaka residents.
