Danish Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit.
She landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11am on Monday.
She came here as Denmark and Bangladesh seek to deepen cooperation on climate change especially regarding renewable energy, and blue economy.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen welcomed her at the airport.
Princess Mary will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Gono Bhaban on Monday and will fly for Cox'' Bazar.
Tomorrow, she will visit Rohingya camps, where she will interact with the refugees and their host community and see soil erosion control and environmental restoration activities implemented by the Danish Refugee Council.
From Cox's Bazar, she will fly to Satkhira, where she will interact with climate-vulnerable community members, visit a multipurpose cyclone shelter and the Sundarbans, a World Centre site that works as a shield from the cyclones that are a frequent phenomenon in Bangladesh.
Her visit will focus on climate change and how cooperation can increase in the sector.
