BNP will hold a sit-in program in all districts and upazilas of the country on Saturday. This program will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm in a total of 650 places in the country as part of the central action plan to implement 10-point demands including 'restoration of democracy', the release of Khaleda Zia, unconditional release of jailed party leaders, resignation of the government, reduction in prices of electricity and daily commodities.
According to BNP sources, a massive showdown has been planned to make this position program successful. This program will be held simultaneously in 128 organizational districts of 13 cities including Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, and 5500 upazilas in about 600 places. BNP central executive committee members, former parliamentarians of the party, and the district's top leaders will participate. A coordination team has already been formed and headed by central leaders.
Earlier, on Friday (April 7), BNP's Deputy Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu called for the success of the sit-in program.
The party has instructed the BNP in each district to carry out the program in coordination with all the affiliated organizations of their respective districts. As part of the simultaneous movement, different parties and alliances will also hold this program.
With the same demand, BNP held a sit-in program for two hours from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in all cities and district headquarters on April 1. Different political parties and organizations supporting BNP also held that program separately.
