Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to meet representatives of seven additional political parties on Tuesday, September 2, to discuss the country’s ongoing political situation.
The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. at the state guesthouse Jamuna, according to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s press wing.
Government sources said the Chief Adviser is seeking to create a peaceful and inclusive political environment through dialogue with various parties.
The move follows his separate meetings yesterday with leaders of the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Committee Party (NCP). Tomorrow’s meeting is seen as part of that continuing effort.
It is expected that the discussions will focus on both the upcoming political landscape and the broader economic outlook.
The Chief Adviser’s office expressed hope that the dialogue will help open the door to a constructive solution acceptable to all sides.
The parties invited to Tuesday’s meeting have not yet made any official comments on their participation.
