Chhatra Dal has unveiled its full panel for the upcoming Chittagong University Central Student Union (CUCSU) elections.
The party’s Vice President candidate is Sazzad Hossain Hridoy, organizational secretary of the CU unit. Md. Shafayat Hossain, a student of the Sports Science Department, has been nominated for General Secretary, while Ayubur Rahman Tawfiq from the Department of Islamic History is the panel’s Assistant General Secretary candidate.
The panel was officially announced on Thursday at a press conference in the University’s Buddha Complex by Chhatra Dal’s central General Secretary, Nasir Uddin.

The panel also includes six members: Faisal Pranto Babar, Mizan Mia, Nusrat Jahan, S.M. Tarikul Islam Rimon, and Taif Hossain Iman.
The CUCSU and Hall Union elections are scheduled for October 12, with nomination papers being accepted until Thursday. By the last day of nomination submission on Wednesday, 528 candidates had filed for 26 CUCSU positions, while 634 candidates filed for 206 posts in 14 halls and one hostel.
During the press conference, Nasir Uddin alleged that the university administration had not provided the “desired cooperation” for the CUCSU elections. “The administration is being partisan, favoring a specific organization,” he said, adding that despite irregularities and biased conduct by the administration, Chhatra Dal continues to participate in all student union elections.
