The CUCSU and Hall Union elections are scheduled for October 12, with nomination papers being accepted until Thursday. By the last day of nomination submission on Wednesday, 528 candidates had filed for 26 CUCSU positions, while 634 candidates filed for 206 posts in 14 halls and one hostel.

During the press conference, Nasir Uddin alleged that the university administration had not provided the “desired cooperation” for the CUCSU elections. “The administration is being partisan, favoring a specific organization,” he said, adding that despite irregularities and biased conduct by the administration, Chhatra Dal continues to participate in all student union elections.
