BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said that the 2009 BDR rebellion that resulted in the deaths of 57 army officers had not been thoroughly investigated.
"We think that the way this incident should have been handled and the way the inquiry process should have been performed to bring out the genuine offenders and the masterminds through a fair investigation, unfortunately, we don`t think that happened," he added.
On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the Pilkhana mutiny, Fakhrul made the comments while speaking with media after laying wreaths at a memorial erected at the Banani Army Graveyard in honor of the army officers who died in the massacre.
