Exams for the 2024 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent were starting on Thursday, with an anticipated participation of approximately 2 million students from 29,735 educational institutions.
The tests has begun at 10am at 3,700 locations around the country, according to a Ministry of Education.
Except for a basic cell phone without internet access will be used only by the hall secretary, no mobile phones or electronic gadgets will be allowed within the exam centers in order to protect the integrity of the examination process.
The exam procedure will be streamlined for both students and staff by disclosing the question code 25 minutes before the start of each exam.
